Recently – 15/01/2025

An acquaintance of mine got in touch and asked me to do a reading for her brother-in-law who had tragically taken his own life. Her initial request did not specify the how, what and where. On drawing Tarot cards for the deceased – the first card to come up was The Hanged Man. In subsequent communication with her, I discovered that the man had in fact hung himself.

This might seem inconsequential in itself – but there are no coincidences when it comes to connecting to the Divine. To quote Meghaa Gupta – “I am not surprised anymore. I believe in the universal language of synchronicity and serendipity.”

On Being Divinely Protected

I was having a few friends over for dinner. I don’t have a motorized gate so need to manually open my front gate to let people in. On the arrival of one of my friends, I approached the gate to open it. As I unlocked the gate, I heard a very clear voice say to me – “Scream as loud as you can, right now. Scream for all you are worth.” I did exactly that – screamed at the top of my lungs. What had transpired is that there were hijackers about to hijack my friend at my gate. As I screamed, the gun toting hijacker got distracted and my friend was able to drive into my yard away from the threat. The hijacker proceeded to fire at me, at point blank range. Not a single bullet hit me. They were chased off by my husband who returned fire.

My guardian angel was working overtime that particular evening.

Channelling Energy

I channel energy regularly, to people, animals and plants. One particular incident which gave me great joy, concerned the plants at my husband’s restaurant. The plants were all in containers around the perimeter of the restaurant. I noticed that one particular plant was really battling – wilting and losing its leaves. No wonder, being stuck in a container in fake light doesn’t do any living creature good. One particular evening after closing time, I felt the need to channel healing energy to this plant in order to ease its distress. I stood next to the plant and proceeded to visualize it being flooded with golden white light. As I moved my hands up and down the plant covering its branches and leaves with loving healing energy, I noticed the plant started to shift. The branches started rising up and moving in unison with my hands. I continued channeling energy until the entire plant was upright again. Suffice to say, the plant thrived after that – often outshining its neighbours with glossy thick lustrous leaves. In my experience, when it comes to channeling healing energy of any kind, what is important is the intent behind it. Any intent, no matter who you are and no matter where you are, to channel love and healing will always have an impact far greater than you can imagine.

Before I made a full commitment to my spiritual path, I worked in the IT industry. My boss at the time was a serious cat lover.

One morning he came in to the office utterly distraught. One of his cats had chewed through an electrical cable and had been badly electrocuted. Naturally he rushed the kitty to the vet and was told in no uncertain terms that the cat was going to die from its injuries and that he was to prepare himself for the inevitable. I offered to channel healing energy to the cat. He accepted. I recall sitting at my desk and visualizing the cat while sending it healing energy. I did this for about fifteen minutes. Within the hour the vet called to say that the cat had recovered sufficiently to go home and that he could give no logical explanation as to the cat’s recovery. As the saying goes, ‘If you don’t believe in miracles or magic, you won’t experience any.

Manifesting

I live in South Africa. A very beautiful country with many infrastructure challenges, one being we are often without electricity or water. Generally, I cope well with these outages. However, I look after my mother-in-law who is 95, can’t see well or hear and has adult-onset dementia. On this particular day, scheduled maintenance of the substation, which services my area was on the agenda. That meant 12-18 hours without electricity. I honestly did not have the stomach for being without electricity on this particular day. Towards noon I decided to recite my affirmations and amplify the strength of those affirmations with charged water. Within half an hour the power was restored. That is unheard of when it comes to service delivery. Expect magic and miracles and you will experience both.

When I first arrived here in Johannesburg, I had been living in the bush completely off the grid so the city was a big adaptation for me. Finding a job seemed to be a big obstacle as I knew no one in the city who really knew me. However, I kept on manifesting a job – an aside here, I did not specify what type of job and this is something I learned the hard way. When manifesting you have to be quite specific and know what you want.

Long story short, a person I met when I was living in the bush was an accountant with an IT company here in the city. She recommended me to one of her colleagues as a potential candidate for a secretarial position. I was called in for an interview which I dutifully attended. All the while affirming that the job was mine. Did I get the secretarial position – no. I did however get a job as a pre-sales consultant demonstrating software functionality. Was I qualified for the job – no. Did I have any software experience – no. The fact remains with focus and intent you are able to manifest what you feel you deserve.

On asking for a sign

Naturally it is human to doubt. I am often asked about my association with dragons and are they evil. My response is a resounding no. Associating dragons with the devil is a human construct and religion specific. That being said, I do not judge anyone based on doctrines or beliefs. With this in mind I asked Divine Spirit for a sign that I am on the right track. I have had plenty of synchronicities to assure me of exactly that, but being human I wanted a ‘signier sign’. I wanted more reassurance. I received the sign in the most unexpected way. I was researching the role of dragons in Norse Mythology and came across a list of female dragon names. On that list was a dragon name which happens to be my surname.

It doesn’t get signier than that.
